Knowle Country House Wedding

Today I photographed the wedding of Amber Watts to Joseph Saunders at the amazing Knowle Country House in Higham just outside Dartford. Having had a night of thunderstorms across the South it was a bit touch and go hoping the weather would hold. It did and was very warm with only a few spots of rain just after the wedding service had completed. Amber and Joseph are a lovely gorgeous young couple with a young son Noah. I first met them last year for an engagement shoot at the venue and we got on really well. I had been looking forward to this wedding for some time. Today of course is a Bank Holiday and I made my way round the M25 with the cautious hour added on just in case only to do the journey in 50 minutes and be ridiculously early arriving. Still I could think of worse places to be and was able to nicely drift into the days tasks with fresh coffee provided by the very helpful staff. Needless to say the bride was running late by about 15 minutes by the time we got to the service. The pictures below show the build up to that.

So the Bride and her Bridesmaids got made up and were just stunning. Meanwhile to Groom and his Men had arrived and were basically having a bit of a laugh!

Eventually the Bride and her 'maids' made it to the altar and the serious business of getting married was able to start and complete!

And then we took some family photos before heading off for the wedding breakfast, which was quite tame all things considered.

Then there were some photos with a car and then onto the cake cutting and first dance.

And there you have it. A potted history of a day in the life of a young couple. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Saunders.
